Some of you may ask, "What is La Musica?" It does fly a bit under the radar at times. La Musica's mission is "to bring outstanding European and American chamber music musicians together in Sarasota to present exciting programs of familiar and seldom heard chamber music."
The La Musica International Chamber Music Festival performances start tonight at the historic Sarasota Opera House downtown. The 2012 Festival - Something in the Air - will have five performances, open rehearsals, and pre-concert lectures.
We are fortunate to have a festival of such international renown right here in our community. If you have never been to a chamber music performance, these would be an excellent start for first-timers. As you can see by the photos below, all the cool kids attend! You can find all the info for tickets, lectures, performances, etc. on the La Musica website. See you there!
